Once upon a time there were 3 little elephants. They lived in a Beautiful Basket in a yarn store in Saint Paul. They had all sorts of friends to play with, beautiful yarns to feel, and colors to be amazed at.

They were happy there, but sometimes wondered what the larger world had to offer.

One morning they all woke up from a nice sleep and decided to go travelling and see all the sights.

They wandered down lanes and highways, streets and sidewalks, wondering why they had left their old place in search of something new.

Occasionally they rested in planters and watched the world go by. Their feet hurt and the noise and sights were so strange. Two of them wanted to turn back and go home where they knew they would be safe.

The leader of the little band tried to rally them. "Look," she said, "have you ever seen such vistas and blue sky, and endless opportunity?"

Her friends were still unsure, and she didn't know what to do to comfort them, until....
